Are custom poly mailers recyclable?

Our custom poly mailers are made with 100% polypropylene material and are identified by recycling code 5; the symbol will be printed on the bags.

Recycling code #5 is often not accepted at curbside recycling programs. However, some local communities do accept it — as it is considered a safe form of plastic.

However, if an unlabelled bag is placed in a recycling bin, it is usually discarded as the recycling program has no way of identifying the material.

A recycling code is not an automatic indicator that a material is recyclable but rather an explanation of what the item is.
