It's quick to get started! When you sign up, you'll create a sender profile with your name. Notify automatically provides a ready-to-use email (like name@12345.notifyapp.com), so you can send your first campaign instantly. No setup or DNS work required.

Question 3

What is a compliance text?

Accepted Answer

A compliance text is a short, required message that is automatically sent before your first SMS campaign message in Notify.
 
It helps ensure your SMS campaigns follow U.S. carrier regulations and messaging laws. The compliance text informs subscribers that they're receiving alerts and explains important details such as:
 
- Message frequency may vary
- Message and data rates may apply
- How to get help (reply HELP)
- How to unsubscribe (reply STOP)

For example:

Adding legal links for Notify SMS

To send SMS campaigns through Notify, you must have a registered business entity in the US; Wireless carriers, The Campaign Registry (TCR) and state law require your website to include visible, working links to your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You may want to consult with a lawyer to ensure that your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Links to your Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy are automatically generated for you; you just need to publish them on your site before submitting your 10DLC registration.

###Why this matters 
Wireless carriers and TCR review every 10DLC registration to ensure messages come from legitimate businesses that follow consumer-protection laws. One of their top requirements is that customers must be able to see your Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy on your website.

If those links are missing, broken, or hard to find, your 10DLC registration can be rejected or delayed by carriers, which means your messages may not be approved (or delivered) until you fix it. Adding these pages shows carriers that:

- Your business is real and trustworthy
- You explain how customer data (like phone numbers) will be used
- You provide a clear opt-out and data privacy commitment

####What you need to do
__Locate your auto-generated links:__ When you sign up for Notify SMS, two template pages are automatically created for you:

- Terms & Conditions
- Privacy Policy

You are responsible for developing the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy for your website. These templates are forms you can use to help you develop your own Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. You may want to consult with a lawyer to ensure that the Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy meet the legal requirements for the jurisdictions in which you do business.

__Add your Terms and Privacy Policy to your website:__ You can place the links anywhere that's easy to find; Typically, websites include the links in the footer or contact page. You may wish to place the links somewhere else on your website, depending on how you want to use these documents. Make sure both links are publicly accessible (no password, no hidden page).

__Double-check that they work:__ Click each link to confirm they load properly. Broken links or placeholder pages will cause registration delays.

__Submit your 10DLC registration:__ Once your links are visible, complete your registration through Notify.
Our system will include your legal URLs in your submission automatically.

Can I send emails from my own domain?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Once you're set up with Notify, you can add a custom domain (like name@mywebsite.com) if you'd like to send from your own branded address. You'll just need to add a few DNS records to your domain host. For now, each account supports one custom domain.

Question 6

Why do I need to add my business address to Notify emails?

Accepted Answer

Your business address is required by anti-spam laws and appears in every campaign footer automatically. You'll enter it when setting up your Notify account, and you can update it at any time under __Business Info Settings.__

Question 7

Can recipients reply to emails sent with Notify?

Replies depend on which email address you're sending from.

If you're using the default Notify email address (the auto-generated one we provide), replies aren't supported. These addresses are send-only, so if a recipient replies, they'll receive an undeliverable message. This is expected behavior and doesn't affect email delivery or reputation.

If you want to receive replies, you'll need to send from a custom domain email address (like hello@yourbrand.com), which can handle incoming messages.

Payment is processed instantly when you click Pay & Send, and campaigns send immediately.

Can I schedule Notify emails to send later?

How do I import a subscriber .csv file?

Accepted Answer

Notify makes it easy to import your subscriber list! Below are step-by-step instructions.

1. Create a CSV file using the correct formatting. You'll need to use a spreadsheet tool such as Excel or Google Sheets to create your subscriber list. In your spreadsheet, label cell A1 __Full Name__. Label cell B1 __Email__. Then, enter the email address and full name of each of your subscribers in their corresponding rows.

2. Download your spreadsheet in .csv format. To do this, go to __File>Download>Comma Separated Values (.csv)__.

3. In Notify, go to your __Subscribers tab__ and click __Add subscribers__.

4. Upload your .csv file.

5. Add your subscribers. For each column in your file (like name or email), select the matching field from the drop-down menu, so we know what data you want to import. Then, click __Import subscribers__ to finish.

Your subscriber list is now available to add to your segments!

Do I need a privacy policy for my website if I use Notify?
