What can we do to help corrections officers?

That's mostly a state issue but I will work to get more federal funding for our corrections officers and will push state representatives to vote to support them so that have adequate resources including more staff. I spoke to our officers and am well aware that they do not get enough time off. It's truly horrible.

We also need to support law enforcement across the board to bring down crime in New York State which will reduce the burden on our prisons. People commit more crime when we are soft on crime as Democrats like to be.
