Why do I need a sender profile for Notify email?

A sender profile identifies who your email campaigns are from. Each campaign needs a sender name and email address.

Notify automatically creates a default @notifyapp.com email address that you can use immediately without additional setup.

If you want to send from your own branded email address, you can set up a custom domain by adding the required DNS records.
