Your custom acrylic sign will come with installation hardware if you select to include installation holes with your sign. Standard acrylic signs come with four pre-drilled holes, one in each corner, along with four 6mm stand off bolts, screw plugs, and metal holders. You cannot request changes to the number of installation holes or their placement. Die cut acrylic signs come with two to four pre-drilled holes, depending on the size and shape of your design and a corresponding number of 6mm stand off bolts, screw plugs, and metal holders. Die cut acrylic signs allow you to request a specific number of holes as well as where they're placed. Installation is easy! Each order will include the following instructions card to help guide you through the process. Please note that over tightening the screws may cause the acrylic to crack. We suggested slowly tightening them until they feel snug.
Yes! If you select to add installation holes when you place your order, your custom acrylic sign will include hardware. However, the number may vary from two to four holes depending on the shape of your design and whether you request a specific number of installation holes. Keeping your standard acrylic sign or die cut acrylic sign clean is easy, but there are a few things to keep in mind. Warm water is all you need. If you have a stubborn stain or need an added disinfectant, you can add a little dish soap to the warm water. Cleaning chemicals like glass cleaners, degreasers, or waxes can cloud the finish, so you'll want to avoid using those. Use a microfiber cloth. Make sure your cloth is damp, and rub your sign gently. Hard scrubbing or using abrasive pads or dry cloths like paper towels can cause scratches.
Standard acrylic signs and die cut acrylic signs are approximately 3mm (⅛”) thick. For reference, this is about the same thickness as three credit cards stacked on top of each other.
Our standard acrylic signs and die cut acrylic signs are intended for indoor use. They will last much longer if used indoors than they will outdoors. While our acrylic signs are water resistant, they are not considered waterproof. They do come with a varnish to protect your artwork however, they do not include a UV laminate to protect them from direct sunlight. If you do use your acrylic sign outdoors, we recommend placing them in an area that will not be exposed to the elements like rain or direct sunlight as this will cause them to wear and fade faster.
Custom acrylic signs are printed on durable, lightweight acrylic. While the acrylic material is clear, your artwork will have a white ink backing, which means the artwork will not have transparent areas. The white ink ensures that your design prints with clear, crisp, vibrant colors that can be seen from a distance. The print has a matte finish to reduce glare and increase visibility. Each sign is also protected with a layer of varnish. Acrylic signs will either have a standard cut or a die cut. Standard acrylic signs are cut in a square or rectangular shape with slightly rounded edges, while die cut acrylic signs can be custom cut around the shape of your design. If you choose to include them, acrylic signs will also come with pre-drilled installation holes and hardware. The number and location of your installation holes depend on your sign type and design.

If you choose to include them, four installation holes will be drilled in each corner of your sign to ensure your sign stays securely mounted. Die cut acrylic signs can be cut around the shape of your design, allowing for more customization. Two to four installation holes can be added to your signs, and these can be placed anywhere you'd like. Acrylic signs are great for more than just business signage or directories.
