faded color and smells weird

Sticker Mule is the best but they missed the mark on these. Tried the 'deal' to see if I'd like to switch to paper labels. Unfortunately I can't! They wreak of a nasty smell, might be the recycled paper or cardboard they're rolled on? And the color is not vibrant. The black is more like a charcoal grey. Still love the Mule, just won't buy this product again.
