Really disappointed in the key chains

I ordered the acrylic key chains on the promotional price. Ordering was easy, delivery was fast -- as always. I love Sticker Mule and I have ordered stickers, magnets, pins, and coasters previously with this same artwork. However, I am really disappointed in the key chains. Obviously this is the same basic product as the acrylic hat pins. Those were not my favorite, but the design works at small sizes that you don't look at too closely. I find the keychain design to be much less suitable to this use. First, having the design be one-sided is ugly and will clearly age/wear the product quickly. A hat pin is never seen from the unfinished side. A keychain is frequently seen on both sides. Plus a keychain is subject to abuse in pockets and purses and the unfinished side will clearly get damaged and scratched. Perhaps the worst thing though is the appearance of the acrylic. It simply not clear and smooth. It does not have a quality look to it -- it has marks and such from machining. It just doesn't create a good looking product for something like a keychain that you hold in your hand and look at closely on both sides. I do like the flat keyring and the sturdy attachment loop. I won't be giving these away as promo items. Maybe I will use them for spare keys around my house. I love the idea of a keychain -- and the price point could even be higher if necessary -- but I find this product to be an unusual swing and a miss for Sticker Mule. I will definitely be back, but not for this product.
