Great frame, poor print

I tried out the beta of this framed pic and although the gold colored frame is great, the photo print is washed out. The photo upload user experience is not great either. I initially uploaded a pic and it scaled it to fit so that there were white bars in the sides because the aspect ratio was different. There was no crop or scale feature so i had to upload cropped versions a few times until it seemed like i got the size right. Being a graphic designer this was not hard but it was an extra pain and would be hard or a deal breaker for most people i think. Given the cost even of the photo part itself, i expected much better quality. I could buy a frame like this elsewhere even if i had to spray paint it gold, and get a much better print from like My Photo Pipe or something for probably half the proposed cost. Being a beta tester this cost me nothing but I wouldn’t order again unless the photo/upload experience were better and the photo print were better.
