Less than expected in more ways than one

Chris Weyland

I’ve used Sticker Mule in the past and was impressed with the results, though maybe not as much with the holographic stickers. With my most recent order, however, I was not. Starting with the packaging, the shrink wrap combined with the awkward shape of my stickers led to a difficult time getting them out of the packaging without severely bending the stickers. Admittedly this was far, far worse with my last orders as there was NO room to cut. I think there’s probably a better way to package these. But then the stickers themselves? I still have some stickers from my last two orders. They look great, despite being almost 5 years old. These new stickers had visible grain on them. Which I know was not in the original file, a raw export of a vector file. The quality has so significantly dipped since my last order that it’s actually unacceptable. These suck. But it sucks more: the edges. Previously the stickers I ordered had no borders. One was given a white border by Sticker mule, which I assume was for stability purposes. The other order was not. These new stickers, I assumed there would be no border and, because the source art has a thick black outline, was comfortable with that. There was an attempt to remove the white border. Instead, each sticker has jagged, uneven white bits of border. I’ve elected to start trimming these little ugly artifacts myself and thankfully there are only 28 stickers to trim. Which isn’t a typo. I ordered 30, I got 28 and the proof. Poor print quality, poor cut, and I didn’t even get the number I paid for? Sticker Mule went from a great service with reliable results to a waste of money in just a couple of years.
