Recent change in quality of tape

I have ordered my packaging tape from Sticker Mule consistently for the last couple of years and it has been perfect every time. However, they have now changed the quality of the tape so it is now considerably thicker with thicker string running through it. This makes it much harder to cut with a dispenser and it is noticeably less sticky even though I apply plenty of water. I have been in touch and they confirmed they have changed the quality and this is set to stay which is such a shame. This is why I can only give 3 stars as the tape is not fit for purpose, it is far too tough for using on small boxes and letterbox parcels, perhaps better suited for very heavy duty packaging, though it will still be very hard to cut and stick! Please go back to the original formula as this was perfect!!
