Inconvenient Image Placement

Rachael Richmond

I ordered 100 buttons of my honey's face and some text for his 50th birthday. The designers were helpful, and told me my design would be dark, but I didn't listen so the buttons were not easy to read. That's completely my fault. What isn't my fault, though, is that rather than the image being placed on the button so that the pin closure was on the top, it was placed randomly. When the face was upright, some of the pins were at the top, as you'd expect, but more were placed so that the pin was vertical along either the left or the right side, or the worst were placed horizontally at the bottom so when they were pinned on with the picture upright, the top of the button flopped over, away from the body. The pins were awkward and pulled at people's garments in ways they shouldn't have. My birthday party guests spent too much time either adjusting the button, or looking for one whose pin was appropriately placed.
