Scratched off too easily

I bought them on sale so I can not complain and the turn around is great. However, most of them were nicked at the front and one of them was missing part of the design due to the back not being protected. After putting it on my keys, more parts of it scratched off, which makes me question what these keychains are even for. So I duct taped the back of all of them (which so far has fixed the problem). If I was ever to buy these again I would just mod podge them and hope. TLDR: I would never buy keychains at full price.
