great design, but not self adhesive

First of all, I am a huge proponent of Sticker Mule. This product however needs a little work or maybe I just missed the description. But it comes with sponges that you wet and then the adhesive has to be activated with the water and then stuck to your packaging... Not sure how well it works as we tried it on one box and it pealed off.
