We follow some general guidelines to determine which portions of your custom glitter stickers should have a glitter effect. These can always be modified during the proofing process. If you'd like specific aspects of your design to have the glitter effect, you can leave instructions when you upload your artwork or during proofing. We'll preserve the appearance of your artwork by adding a layer of white ink behind any opaque portions of your design. This will block the glitter effect. If your design contains a background that is essential to the design, a layer of white ink will be added behind the background to block the glitter effect. If your design contains a solid background, the color will be removed, allowing your background to have the full glitter effect. If your design contains gradients or semi-transparencies, the white ink layer will be removed, allowing for gradients and semi-transparencies to show through the glitter effect. Submitting a transparent .png file showing the areas you'd like to have glittery as transparent portions of your artwork can also be helpful! Our custom glitter stickers are ideal for indoor use primarily. Their outdoor durability is rated up to 1 year but can vary with a variety of environmental factors. Glitter stickers are coated with a protective laminate that makes them super durable and resistant to fading, scratching, tearing, and water. They can even be safely run through a dishwasher.
Yes, our custom glitter stickers are printed in full color. There are no restrictions on the number of colors you can use, and there are no additional fees. The glitter material will show through the background or border of your design. Using white or black inks where you don't want the glitter to show will help block the intensity of the effect in your printed design. We’ll automatically format your artwork for custom glitter stickers and send you a proof to preview the glitter effect. Here are some things to keep in mind: Designs are proofed with a layer of white ink behind them, increasing the opacity of your artwork and blocking the glitter effect. Solid backgrounds will not include white ink, allowing the glitter effect to show through. Borders will be 100% glitter.
