T shirt is rough where there is no print?!

The t shirt I got is mostly black except for a logo in the chest area. The areas of the t shirt where there’s no logo has no other design. However, there is a huge area of the t shirt where it feels hard and rough, tough like paper. I understand if the printed area feels like that, but why is the non printed area feel rough too?? Got this shirt for a discount so it’s worth the price. However won’t pay full price for this.
