SMS Templates to use for Notify

While the content of your communications is solely under your control, we’ve rounded up a collection of SMS templates that you may consider using as a starting point for your Notify campaigns. Each one follows 10DLC best practices, includes a clear call-to-action, and helps you connect with your customers in a way that’s short, personal, and effective. You can draft your own messages from scratch or tweak these to match your brand’s personality. Just remember that federal and state law requires senders to include their business name and an opt-out option (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”) to stay compliant and customer-friendly. You should consult with federal and state laws governing the content of messages and any required disclosures for the state where the customer lives. Please note that you must have a registered business entity within the US to sign up for SMS Notify.

Tips for writing great SMS campaigns:

  • Always include your brand name early, so customers know who’s texting.
  • Add a clear call-to-action (like “Shop now,” “Redeem code,” or “Confirm appointment”).
  • Link directly to the most relevant page. No extra clicks needed.
  • Include an opt-out (e.g., “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”) in every message.
  • Keep it short and friendly — Aim for 160 characters or less.
  • Send at smart times — During the day, not in the middle of the night. You should consult the federal and state laws governing calling and texting hours and holidays for the state where the customer lives before sending any text messages.
  • Avoid spammy language (ALL CAPS, too many emojis, or excessive punctuation!!!).
  • Monitor results — Pay attention to deliverability, clicks, and unsubscribes to improve future campaigns.
