About Trace

Overview

Trace is a free background remover tool from Sticker Mule that instantly removes unwanted backgrounds from images.

Trace uses AI and machine learning to remove backgrounds with precision, including complex details like hair, fur, and particles.

Using Trace

Trace accepts JPG and PNG files up to 12 MB.

Upload your image to Trace to automatically remove the background.

Downloading your image

Once your image has been processed, you can:

• Download the isolated image as a PNG.

• Customize your image in Studio.

Trace and Studio

After removing a background with Trace, select Customize to open the image in Studio.

From Studio, you can add backgrounds or other design elements, export your finished design, or use it to order custom products.

You can also remove or restore an image background directly in Studio by selecting the image and clicking Remove background.
