People love to gift, sell, and share coffee. Whether you run a small roasting business, sell on Etsy, or just want to send a bag of beans to a friend, shipping costs can add up. The good news is that with the right approach and UPS labels through Ship by Sticker Mule, you can ship coffee cheaply while keeping it fresh. Here is your step-by-step guide to shipping coffee the smart way. ##1. Choose lightweight packaging Shipping costs are determined by size and weight. To keep rates low, avoid bulky boxes unless necessary. Instead, use padded mailers or slim cardboard envelopes for smaller shipments. For whole bean or ground coffee, a sealed bag inside a padded envelope is often the cheapest way to go. With Ship by Sticker Mule, you can buy discounted UPS shipping labels and drop off your package at any UPS location. ##2. Use airtight coffee bags Freshness matters. A one-way valve coffee bag is the gold standard because it allows carbon dioxide to escape without letting oxygen in. These bags are lightweight, slim, and durable, which not only keeps your coffee fresh but also helps keep shipping costs down. ##3. Ship multiple bags together If you are sending more than one bag of coffee, it is usually cheaper to ship them in a single box rather than sending each one separately. UPS pricing favors consolidated shipments, which lowers your cost per bag. Ship by Sticker Mule makes it easy to create and manage multiple UPS labels so bulk orders are simple. ##4. Print labels at home Save both money and time by skipping the UPS counter. With Ship by Sticker Mule, you can print discounted UPS labels right from your home or business. Just tape the label on your package, drop it off at UPS, or schedule a pickup. ##Final thoughts Coffee brings people joy, and shipping it should not cost more than the coffee itself. By choosing lightweight packaging, sealing your beans properly, and using UPS labels from Ship by Sticker Mule, you can ship coffee cheap while making sure it arrives fresh and on time. While rare, shipping issues such as lost orders, damaged packages, and thefts occur. If there is such an issue with your Ship order, please contact us, and we'll look into it for you. It’s important to note that additional information may be required for us to help you file a claim: Lost orders: If your tracking information shows no updates for several days, your package may be lost in transit. Loss may also include misdelivery, where the package has been marked as delivered, but the recipient hasn't received it. Damaged packages: If your order arrives at its destination and the contents are damaged, you may qualify for a damage claim. Prior to submitting a damage claim, we will ask for photos of the damaged product, internal packaging, and external packaging (including the shipping label). Theft: If your package shows delivered but the recipient didn't receive it and believes it was stolen, your order may qualify for a theft claim. Prior to submitting a claim, we will ask for a file that shows either a police report, security footage screenshot, or residential manager report.
On the My Shipments page in Ship, you'll find a list of all the packages you've sent. To check a package, click on its order ID, then click the tracking number at the top of the page.
