Yes. All Sticker Mule labels are BPA, BPS, and phenol-free. Our vinyl-based sticker products are also BPA/BPS- and Phenol-free, including the ink. Regardless of sticker type, we use solvent-based inks. They aren't eco-solvent.
Our vinyl stickers and labels do not contain natural rubber latex and are safe for people with a latex allergy. The adhesive also doesn't contain natural rubber latex. Two types of latex There are two types of latex: natural rubber latex (NRL) and synthetic latex. A latex allergy is a reaction to certain proteins found in natural rubber latex (NRL). Our stickers are made of vinyl/PVC, which is a synthetic material and does not contain the proteins responsible for natural rubber latex allergies.
Weeding is the process of removing excess material from vinyl products. Before weeding, the artwork is set up to identify which parts of the design should remain and which parts should be removed.
No. Sticker Mule stickers are not certified for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection.
No. Our stickers are not UL-compliant.
We recommend cleaning stickers with an alcohol-free cleaning solution. Alcohol-based cleaners may degrade the vinyl overlaminate and should be avoided.
Our custom stickers are not designed for use on human skin.
Yes, but it depends on the boat's surface. Our stickers will adhere to smooth, flat, and dry surfaces, but you should apply them 24 hours before submerging your boat in water. Adhesion strengthens over time, so boating immediately after applying your stickers may cause them to fall off.
Our standard and clear stickers have a water-based acrylic adhesive.
CPSIA requires businesses to provide a General Conformity Certification (GCC) that confirms products meet a range of safety specifications, and requires mandatory third party testing for all children’s products. Our stickers and labels aren't considered children's products, so this doesn't apply.
The sticker material is 215 grams per square meter (GSM). The laminate is 95 GSM and the vinyl is 120 GSM.

No. Our stickers are made from durable vinyl with a protective laminate, but they are not flame-retardant or UL 94 certified. They should not be used for applications that require flame resistance or fire safety certification.
Economy stickers are the budget-friendly version of our standard stickers. While they still offer full color printing and custom shapes and sizing, economy stickers use a lower-cost printing method that makes them more affordable. That said, this also creates some differences between economy stickers and standard stickers. If you're having trouble deciding between economy stickers or standard stickers, here's a quick list on what each is best suited for: Economy stickers: Perfect if you need large quantities at a low price. Ideal if you're creating stickers for short-term indoor use, like packaging or giveaways. Great if you want affordable branding for limited-time campaigns or promotions. Excellent for handing out to kids, students, or customers where longevity isn't critical. Terrific if you want something fun, fast, and budget-friendly. Standard stickers: Most suitable if you need long-lasting durability, especially for outdoor use, frequent handling, or permanent placements like water bottles, laptops, helmets, bikes, boats, or cars. Excellent if you want stickers that are waterproof, weatherproof, and UV resistant. Perfect if you're selling or gifting stickers as part of a premium product Ideal if you want the absolute best performance Sticker Mule can offer. Best option if you want to project the finest possible image for your brand. Preferred if you need extra thickness and a laminated finish for a more rugged feel. At this time, economy stickers aren't available for adding to Stores or for custom product setup. Economy stickers are designed to be a more affordable alternative to our premium die cut stickers. In order to keep pricing fair for everyone and maintain that low cost, we’ve chosen not to make them available for resale or markup through Stores. That said, they’re still perfect for personal projects, giveaways, event swag, or anyone needing awesome custom stickers without stretching the budget.
Economy stickers are the budget-friendly version of the custom Sticker Mule stickers you know and love! They still pack a punch with vibrant full-color printing, custom shapes, and sizing, but at a lower price point, thanks to more cost-effective materials and printing methods. They're a perfect pick when you're ordering in bulk or just need something awesome on a tighter budget. These stickers are printed on vinyl with a permanent adhesive and a matte finish. Since they're not laminated, they shine brightest indoors and aren't built for water, weather, or microwave adventures. Think of them as the perfect low-cost pick for indoor projects, packaging, giveaways, and more!
Certain shapes will work best for inner cuts. Inner cuts should be simple, and should not come too close to the edge of your sticker. Here are some examples of what makes a good versus bad inner cut design: Good inner cut: Basic shapes Basic shape inner cuts can be added to any product that allows inner cuts as long as it is at least 0.25” x 0.25” in size and does not affect the structure of the product. Good inner cut: Simple die cut shapes Simple die cut shape inner cuts can be added to any product that allows inner cuts as long as it is at least 0.25” x 0.25” in size and does not affect the structure of the product. Bad inner cut: Too large or leaves the border too thin Inner cuts that are too large can affect the structural integrity of the product. If areas surrounding the inner cut are too thin (under 0.25” x 0.25”), it is more susceptible to damage during packaging and shipping. If you would like an inner cut that falls under this category, then we recommend custom kiss cut stickers. These have a backing that will protect your stickers or magnets. Bad inner cut: Thin or complex areas Inner cuts that are too thin or have complex areas are more likely to cause bad cuts during production. Decals (short for decalcomania) are typically larger in size and are applied to walls, windows, floors, or vehicles for decorative or advertising purposes. Since they’re often used for permanent features such as store front signs or wall decor, they tend to be ordered in smaller quantities. Stickers tend to be smaller in size and are used to showcase logos and illustrations. They’re typically applied to smaller products such as laptops, water bottles and notebooks, or used for promotional handouts or resale. Stickers are commonly ordered in larger quantities. The term decal is often used interchangeably with sticker and many of our products could be considered both.
