No. Window clings are printed on one side only. The opposite side is white. When applied to a window, the printed design is intended to be viewed from the printed side. The reverse side is not printed and will appear white. Window clings are designed to display your artwork on one printed side only.
Custom window clings are a type of sticker that holds firmly to most smooth surfaces without using adhesive. They are made from thin, white vinyl, which naturally adheres to glass and other smooth surfaces. Use window clings for branding windows or any other clean, non-porous surface. Window clings can be peeled off and reapplied multiple times. This makes window clings great for seasonal or temporary uses, while still being durable enough for permanent use. Clings are best indoors and adhere best when the unprinted side is applied to your surface. Front-facing use can cause adhesion issues, ink transfer, and bubbling. Yes, you can write on our custom window clings. We find permanent markers and ballpoint pens work best. Depending on the type of ink used, you may need to give the ink chance to dry before using your window clings.
Custom window clings are used for temporary applications, up to about 3 months. Unused window clings have a shelf life of approximately 6 months when stored around 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity. Excessive heat and humidity may shorten their shelf life. Temperature, wind and rain may also limit their cling ability. Window clings will adhere best when the unprinted side is applied to your surface. Front-facing application can cause issues with adhesion, ink transfer, and bubbling.
To apply a custom window cling, the surface must be clean, smooth and as close to room temperature as possible. Cold surfaces reduce the vinyl's cling. Small decals (12" x 12" or smaller) may be applied dry. Large decals (12" x 12" or larger) should be applied by wetting the surface and the window cling with glass cleaner or a soap and water mixture. For either dry or wet application, use a squeegee, credit card or something similar to smooth the decal onto the surface. Please note that window clings aren't recommended for front-facing use, as this can cause issues with adhesion, ink transfer, and bubbling. Because they do not have adhesive, custom window clings should only be used outdoors in temporary situations, as weather and humidity can alter their cling ability.
Our custom clear stickers are made of a premium, thick vinyl with a strong adhesive. They are most often used for promotion and handed out individually or included within packaging. They're great for outdoor, long-term use. Custom window clings are made with a self-clinging white vinyl material, which requires no adhesive and tends to be used for temporary installations, such as window displays, oil change reminders, and temporary promotions. They can be applied to be viewed from the inside or the outside of a window. They're also a great option if you plan to reuse the graphic, as they can easily be removed, repositioned and reused.
